The Relaunch Team
This is the team that will be looking for a new location for our church to meet as a spiritual family. We will be receiving regular updates every couple of weeks. We are excited about this team and what they are doing for us as a church family. Please take time to introduce yourself to the team when you see them and continue to lift them up in prayer. Frank Smith (Team Leader)
Frank was born and raised in California. He spent 20 years in the Army stationed at bases all around the country. His service included a year in Iraq as a Platoon Sergeant. Upon returning home he completed his most recent assignment at Boeing, where he was a Flight Engineer, responsible for the safety of our military's Chinook helicopters. He retired this past September as a Sergeant First Class. He now works at Summit Aviation in Middletown.
Melanie Smith
Melanie was born and raised in Delaware, attending Brandywine High School. She earned her Economics degree from the University of Pennsylvania, where she graduated magna cum laude. She went on to earn her law degree in 1997 from Georgetown University. Upon graduation, she served as a clerk for the Delaware Supreme Court, and in 1998 went to work for the law firm of Richards, Layton and Finger, where she currently practices in the areas of corporations and finance. In 2002, she was elected State Representative from the 5th district in Bear, where she has served for the past decade. She is currently the chair of the House Judiciary Committee and serves on the Joint Finance Committee.
Doug Riley
Doug has over 30 years of construction experience within the Delaware region starting in 1976 leading to his current position as construction manager today. He started as an apprentice plumber working in residential service, then grew to take upon responsibilities as project manager for large and small projects overseeing the design, construction or renovation involving all building trades. His current duties include estimating, marketing, administration and project management. His role with the relaunch team is similar to the duties of a house inspector that someone may hire when purchasing a house but more commercialized. He says, “I feel blessed to be part of this team and believe that Gods guidance will light the pathway for our team.”
Adam Dorosky
Adam was born and raised in Delaware and has lived in the Newark/New Castle area his entire life. He is a real estate agent with Prudential Fox and Roach in Bear. He has an intimate knowledge of the area which gives our team a great advantage in terms of providing the tools necessary to find the right location. Prior to entering the real estate business, Adam spent several years in the banking industry. He says, “I am honored to have been asked to be a part of our team and I am looking forward to assisting our group and our church in finding our new ‘home.’”
Jay Anderson
Jay has been a part of our church family since 1992 and has served for many years on the RLEFC council, most recently as president. Jay has a Master of Education in Special Education and has earned an Administration Certificate, School Administrator and he is a teacher at the Delaware Autism Program. He has a great knowledge of business having spent many years as a successful entrepreneur. Jay feels it an honor and very humbling experience to serve, a privilege to support the church and pastor, and to make a difference in people’s lives.
